# Claude Code 2.1.311: Model identifiers now drop the [1m] suffix where it has no effect

> Model names and IDs have been simplified to remove the [1m] suffix on models where the suffix has no functional effect. The suffix remains accepted for backward compatibility. This reduces confusion about model naming and makes API references clearer.
