GPT-5.5 retires from Codex for ChatGPT signed-in users

Effective October 14, 2026, GPT-5.5 is being retired from Codex for users signed in with ChatGPT. Developers must migrate to GPT-6.1 Sol or other available alternatives. API key-authenticated access to GPT-5.5 remains available, but workspace defaults, saved model settings, custom agents, and scheduled tasks need updating.
