# Sora 2 and Sora 2 Pro APIs discontinued by OpenAI

> OpenAI is discontinuing the Sora API on September 24, 2026. Both Sora 2 and Sora 2 Pro models have been removed from the Image & Video model picker and will stop generating on that date. Existing flows and templates using Sora must be switched to alternative video models like Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash.
