# Gemini 2.5 models deprecated and replaced with Gemini 3.8/3.1

> Gemini 2.5 Pro, Flash, and Flash Lite are no longer available for app AI features as of October 20. Requests automatically migrate to Gemini 3.8 Flash or Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite, which may differ in pricing and behavior. Apps continue working without code changes but should verify compatibility.
