# OrioleDB moves from alpha to public beta with paid plan support

> OrioleDB, an alternative Postgres storage engine, is now available on paid plans (Pro, Team, Enterprise) and no longer requires the --experimental flag. It replaces heap storage with an undo log, delivering 1.8x transaction throughput in TPC-C benchmarks while eliminating VACUUM and transaction ID wraparound through 64-bit IDs.
